Jeff & Perla Blust
Jeff and Perla Blust are unaffiliated independent Baptist missionaries commissioned and sent to the Philippines by Empire Baptist Temple, Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1999.
Jeff was born and raised in Ohio and entered the United States Air Force in February 1980. While stationed in Rimini, Italy, God saved him in May 1987. And God called him to preach the Gospel of Christ to the Filipino people in December 1987. After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the military in August 1991, the next day, he visited the Philippines in August 1991 where he met Perla and later married her in Cocoa, Florida in April 1992. They were missionaries with Amazing Grace Mission doing State and County Fair Evangelism before they moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, joined Empire Baptist Temple and attended Great Plains Baptist Divinity School in December 1992.
Their ministry is based in Bukidnon, Mindanao Island where they oversee multiple church planting works. They are very active in winning Filipino people to the Lord followed by intensive discipleship.
Dr. Blust is the Executive Vice President of Great Plains Baptist Divinity School, Mindanao and Visayas. Through this ministry, he is currently training Philippine Nationals for the ministry of the Lord for the purpose of establishing indigenous local New Testament Baptist Churches throughout the Philippines.
Thirty former Bible students are pastoring churches throughout the Philippines. Bible-Way Baptist Church, Cubao, Quezon City was organized on March 1, 2020. The Blust’s currently oversee seven mission works in the Mindanao and Visayas region.
